The Minutes of the General Meeting of West Coast Association held on 22/2/25 at the Residence of Mr Valentine Udeaja of Steensedijk 149, 8400 Oostende.
The Chairman Mr Anthony Amachukwu thanked the members present for coming to the day’s meeting and equally thanked the Udeaja’s for welcoming us in their home and called on Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi to say the opening prayers at 16:20pm.
Absenteeism: On that Mr Valentine Udeaja said that Mr Tony Lippins will not be coming because his elder brother is seriously sick and has been hospitalised. Mr Lawrence Onah is working while Mr Vitus Ononiba is trying to finish the work in his house. Mr Patrick Oyebamiji travelled to Nigeria this morning.
An observer was in our midst and he introduced himself as Chief Charles Okechukwu Iyama from Umuahia that his friend and brother Mr Valentine Udeaja invited him to come and observe the meeting and he was welcomed.
Shortly after that Motion of adoption of the last minutes was moved by Mr Lucas Onuoha and supported by Mr Patrick Ezebuiro.
Mother’s day celebration: The Vice Chairman Mr Ike Owoh said that a lady introduced by Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi has an engagement already on the day of our mother’s day celebration while Chief Tina Ezebuiro declined because of the distance from Brussels to Brugge. He further said that a lady he contacted in Antwerpen told him that the price of her cooking is the sum of 1250 euros. After some deliberations we agreed to engage the lady’s services. We also agreed to supplement the drinks with one crate of Guinness and one crate of leffe.
Mr Joseph Imoke talked about the musical aspect of the event and after many deliberations we ruled to use our members musical equipments, the members are Lucas Onuoha, Vitus Ononiba and Joseph Imoke.
Present for our married children: The matter was deffered to the next meeting.
Year 2025 family Barbue que: The committee headed by the Vice Chairman Mr Ike Owoh said by the month of April we will start the preparations in enerst and the date has been booked for 23/8/25.
What to be posted on whatsapp group: We ruled to always post what concerns us as West Coast Association.
General: under general comment Mr Lucas Onuoha talked about given merit awards to some deserving members.
Mr Patrick Ezebuiro talked about giving membership certificate to new members.
Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi talked about going out together with our families for few days to a particular place maybe as camping etc.
Finance: The total sum of 550 euros was realised in the day’s meeting and it was as follows: 330 euros paid direct in the bank. 220 euros recieved cash. Expenses: 50 euros for the host wife. Balance sum of 500 euros.
Chief Charles Okechukwu Iyama stood up greeted and said he didn’t see anything that transpired in the meeting between Pastor Ezeagu and Mr Onuoha that we are matured men, he also said he is learning and that the meeting consists of different countries and he is very much happy and honoured to be here and further said he wants and hope to be staying with us that he is already a member and he was applauded. When asked by the Chairman Mr Amachukwu how he know about West Coast Association he answered that he has been hearing about the Association until Mr Valentine Udeaja invited him to the day’s meeting. The Chairman Mr Amachukwu told Mr Valentine Udeaja to enlighten him more on what it takes to be a member.
A minute of silence in honour of Mr Sekani Mbewe’s departed sister was performed by Pastor Chidi Ezeagu who prayed for her soul to find rest in God’s bossom.
In the Absence of further topics for discussion motion of adjournment of the day’s meeting was moved by Mr Anthony Obi and supported by Mr Johnny Olivier and closing prayers was said by Pastor Chidi Ezeagu at 19:10pm and Refreshments were served.
Vote of thanks was performed by the Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh who thanked Mrs Chinyere Udeaja for hosting us that she is one of the founding members wives of West Coast Association and we are always happy to come to her house.
In her response she welcomed and thanked us for the love and appreciations, that her doors are always open to us .
