 Chairman Welcome Address

 The chairman welcome address was said by the vice chairman in the absence of the chairman. He welcomed everyone and also urge the members to feel free to contribute in discussion. He asked the members if they read  the last minute of meeting and they responded yes.

Meeting adoption

The meeting was adopted by Hon Tony Obi and Hon Godfrey

Absentees

5 members were absent at the meeting. The vice chairman gave a minute silent to the member that lost his sibling and was it coordinated by mr Tony Amachukwu. He assigned two members in person of Hon chairman Ike Owoh and Hon Lawrence Ona to pay a visit to Hon vitus.

Signing of the change of account 

Regarding the signing on the change of account, the process is in order but one person’s details is what is left to completing the account change.

Financial account of 2024 adjustment in the website

Mr Godfrey accepted the mistake was from him while Mr Patrick oyebamiji asked why is it his fault. The vice chairman who is the formal secretary pastor chidi, explain more about it saying he did all calculation but due to the website uploading, there was misinterpretation of words which resulted to the mistake. The vice chairman and Mr Patrick asked the new financial secretary for a better solution on the finance issue. On this note, the members appreciated mr Ezebuiro on noticing the mistake.

Method of Payment.

The payment method for the monthly dues should be paid twice in a year which is first quarter and second quarter i.e, January to march for the first, June to November for the second quarter.

Discussion from committee base on Mother’s Day and barbeque

Mr Ezebuiro informed that the hall for Mother’s Day has been arranged and 23rd of May is the event date. The for the barbeque, 22nd of august has been confirmed as the event date. The decorator said the last job she did was free but presently she would have to charge us some fee due to inflation of goods, and she will be collecting 350 euros for the decoration. 

Mr Joseph said the amount is high while Hon Sekina said it might be the cost of material. Mr Tony Amachukwu suggested we look for someone else if the amount is high. The members also made their opinion saying that the budget will determine and they also asked mr Ezebuiro to negotiate more with the decorator.

On the food matter, the caterer complies with every instruction the committee noted out. For the drinks, brands will be posted on the platform and some of the drinks will be bought by the committee. Hon Andy said water should not be bought anymore when buying the things and also members should endeavour to make their payment on time. The formal treasurer is also being invited to the both events.

Mr Godrich asked if you are not coming for the event, are you supposed to pay for. The members chorusly answered yes.

GENERAL

Mr Godfrey asked the financial secretary to try and post the finance report on the website because  what is posted on the whatsapp group does not count. 

 Finance

Cash transferred to account is 1,140 euros while 310 euros was cash by hand, 50 euros expenses was given for the vote of thanks.

Cash given to treasurer was 260 euros.  

Motion of Adjournment/ Closing Prayer

Mr Lucas and mr Johnny adjourned the meeting. While the closing prayer was said by Hon King Andy likewise the vote of thanks.
