The Minutes of the General Meeting of West Coast Association held on 28/6/24 at the Residence of the Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh of Broekkouter 30 9200 Dondermonde.

The Chairman Mr Anthony Amachukwu welcomed us to the day’s meeting and thanked the Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh for opening their doors for the meeting and called on Mr Patrick Ezebuiro to lead us in the opening prayers at 17:05 pm.

Absenteeism: Reports were given that Mr Ononiba travelled to London, Mesers Sekani Mbewe, Godfrey Ohuma and Tony Lippins wouldn’t be coming while Shegun Okunomo and Daniel Figar are working.

Shortly after that the motion of adoption of the previous minutes was moved by Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi and supported by Mr Anthony Obi.

A minute of silence was observed in honour of Late Mrs Owoh the mother of Our Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh and was done by Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi.

Mother’s day Celebration: On that the Chairman Mr Amachukwu officially thanked the committee members for their efforts in making sure everything went well and in his opinion our wives were happy with the event.
Mr Lawrence Onah said that everything went well and sujests that next year we start in time with the preparations and host it where we normally do our family Barbue ques, he equally thanked Mr Patrick Oyebamiji for his sole effort in the absence of his committee members and Mr Oyebamiji was applauded.
However after many deliberations we agreed to do the next mothering Sunday’s celebration in our usual place of BBQ and the committee members were mandated to kick start the process as soon as possible.

Breakdown of expenses of Mother’s day celebration.
(1) Bon gifts = 800 euros
400 euros for Inno.
400 euros for IcI Paris.
(2) Rose flowers =7,18.
(3) Baloon/decoration products =9,53
(4) Buffet Brugse wok =1128,00
TOTAL = 1944,71 cent.

Year 2024 family BBQ: On that the Chairman of the committee Mr Ik Owoh said that this is our last meeting before the BBQ and promised that things will go well and wants us to organise the monetary accept of it and every other things will be in place. Mr Patrick Ezebuiro also said that the sharing of meat roasting will be placed on our wathsaap group as usual.
The Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh said that the BBQ is strictly for our wives and kids and that anyone that brings along non member’s children will pay a fine of 250 euros and we all agreed.
More freewill donations were made towards the bbq.
Anthony Obi = 50 euros paid.
Valentine Udeaja = 20 euros paid.
Johnny Olivier = 50 euros paid.
Kingsley Ihedinobi = extra 1 bottle of Singleton. Redeemed.
We also agreed that more rice will be added and the committee promised to deliver a good bbq.
Mr Godrich Alethor talked about time factor that we should be there on time.

Bye law: We ruled that the secretaries both past and present shall come together and make the bye laws from now till end of next year.

General: The Chairman Emeritus Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi told the house that come the th of September 2024 her daughter is marking her18th year / graduation ceremonies and that more reminders will be sent in due course and brought a bottle of Singleton as an invitation.

Mr Ik Owoh wants us to always endeavour to attend events.
He However informed us about his wife’s 50th birthday celebration coming up on the 10th of August 2024 in Dondermonde and he brought a bottle of Singleton for the invitation.

Finance: The total sum of 1380 euros was realised in the day’s meeting and it was as follows.
Monthly dues = 260 euros.
Pledges for BBQ = 120 euros.
320 euros direct to the bank.
Mother’s Sunday expenses=1944,71
Host wife = 50 euros.

The balance sum of 866 euros was handed over to the acting treasurer Mr Godrich Alethor.

In the absence of further topic for discussions the motion of adjournment of the day’s meeting was moved by Mr Lucas Onuoha and seconded by Mr Patrick Oyebamiji and closing prayers was said by Pastor Chidiebere Ezeagu at 19 : 46 pm. Refreshments were served.

Vote of thanks was performed by Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi who told Mrs Owoh that we are honoured to be in her home and felt welcomed and that made our voices rising so high, he further said that there are two meetings in Belgium, West Coat Association and others and thanked her for opening her doors and entertaining us with superlative and delicious foods and also prayed for the progress of her family.

In her response she said she is fully honoured for us being in her house and thanked us for appreciating her foods and used the opportunity to invite us with our wives to her 50th year birthday party.
