Opening prayer by pastor chidi
The chairman welcome the honourable members and also took the excuse of not being present in the meeting due to personal activities that frequently comes up. He urge the members to bear with him on his absence. The chairman proceed to ask if there is any input from the last meeting, with no response from the members, he asked that the meeting be adopted which was done by Hon King and Hon Godrich.
Mother’s day celebration Hon Patrick Ezeburo spoke about the mother’s day planning, and assured the members the preparation is in place likewise the gift to be distributed on that day. Hon Tony asked the committee about the decorator if the price has been agreed upon. The chairman assures that communication with the decorator is not an issue and would be resolved.
A member asked if the gift will be presented to our women same way its being done or is there a change. Mr tony obi replied that gift or no gift is all the same but the association purse will be looked into. while Hon Godfrey said gift must not be big because the party hosted for our woman is also a gift to them. Hon Patrick implies that the association will be running out of lost if extra package is being added for the women. Patrick also suggests the association pick one event in a year out of the barbecue or mother’s day that is annually celebrated in other to reduce cost spending. Hon king replies, the members need to look into the suggestion in the next meeting if the association will focus on one event out of the two mentioned for next year. The vice chairman said the gifting of gift will also be looked into if it will be approved or not. Hon Onah said the members should do things wisely and not to be scared. Pastor chidi implies that the arrangement for the event is already in place and should be completed. The party committee request approval to transfer money from the association account to another account, all members agreed to the request. While the formal chairman said transfer can not be made base on the system.
Also the committee said the caterer request she needs her payment to be made 5days before the event. While Mr. onah said 70% will be paid to her before the event awhile balance will be made after the event. All members agree to Mr Onah input.
Barbecue party The committee chairman suggests the items to be purchased for the barbecue should be in moderate quantity while Hon Godrich concur to the suggestion. The committee chairman also raised a suggestion for free will donation, while the union chairman in person of Hon ike encourage the members towards the free will donation.
The association phone was given to the Hon secretary, Charles Inyama in line with previous discussion made on the phone not being in used by the PRO. Hon Andy said he will be bringing cleaners to handle the cleaning of the hall during the mother’s day event. The chairman said for the left-over drink, it will be discussed on the WhatsApp group. He also announces the absent of Hon bitus from the mother’s day event due to the loose of his sibling. He further announced the wedding ceremony of his son which comes up on 27th June, 2026. Also, mr Patrick oyebanji invite the house to his son birthday which comes up on 24th October, 2026.
Finance Cash at hand 650 Euros and bank transfer 450 euros. From the cash at hand, 50 euros was made as expenses given to the treasurer, Tony Lippens Motion of Adjournment/ Closing Prayer Hon Patrick Oyebanji and Hon Godfrey adjourned the meeting. While the closing prayer was said by pastor Chidi likewise the vote of thanks.
