The Minutes of the General Meeting of West Coast Association held on 28/6/25 at the Residence of Mr Joseph Imoke of Guido Gezellestraat 9, 8400 Oostende.
The Chairman Mr Anthony Amachukwu welcomed us to the day’s meeting and said it is good to reconvene after our mothering Sunday’s event and equally thanked the Imoke’s for opening their doors for the day’s meeting and called on Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi to say the opening prayers at 17:20 pm.
Absenteeism:
Messrs Godrich Alethor and Tony Lippins are absent in the day’s meeting while Mr Shegun Okunomo and Mr Patrick Oyebamiji will be coming late.
The motion of adoption of the previous minutes was moved by Mr Godfrey Oghuma and supported by Mr Anthony Obi.
Account:
The Chairman Mr Anthony Amachukwu talked about the shared Account in the previous meeting and asked if there is any mistakes noticed by anyone and Mr Oghuma said as for him it is correct while Mr Ezebuiro said he is still looking into it.
Mother’s day celebration Report:
On the just concluded mother’s day celebration the Chairman Mr Amachukwu thanked the committee members for a job well done and the house applauded them and the Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh said that apart from Messrs Oghuma and Mbewe that every other members were present in the event, he further said that during the event he sampled the opinions of our wives and the only thing they complained was that the foods weren’t enough. Mr Obi said that his wife and her group really enjoyed the event. Mr Ona also think that next time we ask our wives what they can bring along in terms of foods, he further said we can bring our electric fans because of heat. Mr Charles Iyama said that this is his first time of such event and that it was lovely and prefers that everything to be consumed than being wasted. Mr Kingsley Ihedinobi said we have to treat the matter very well before involving our wives and that next time the caterer has to cook enough food.
Mother’s day Account:
The Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh gave a detailed Account of the event as follows.
1250 euros for foods. Gifts = 1000 euros. Hall = 110 euros. Hall decorations =170 euros. Cups, saviettes, spoons etc = 400 euros. Total money spent is 2989,32 euros.
Left over of drinks.
Water : 10 packets of × 12 = 120 pcs. Fanta: 1 pack × 15 cans. Red wine: 1 carton × 6 bottles. Muscato: 1 bottle. Leffe 0% Alcohol: 5 bottles. Jack Daniels: 1 bottle. Grand balon : 1 bottle. Singleton: 1/2 bottle. Bruin leffe : 6 bottles. Guinness: 2 bottles.
Mr Godfrey Oghuma and Sekani Mbewe collected their gifts for their wives because they were unavoidably absent during the event. However one of the gifts was without any bond inside the sealed card and Mr Owoh was told to go and lay complaints to the shop.
2025 family Barbue que:
The Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh told the house that the committee members have decided to follow the Modus operandi of last year’s modalities but however said it depends on what we generate from this year’s freewill donations, he further said that this year we will include our wives and children in the games the men usually play and that the spring castle has been removed and we all agreed with the proposals.
Mr Owoh further said the committee intends to reduce the number of meats to be bought. We also reiterated that once it is time for games no member should be seen in the bbq stands.
The Chairman Mr Anthony Amachukwu reminded the house that our forthcoming elections is in October this year.

Finance: Due to the Absence of the financial secretary and the acting treasurer the roll call was as follows:
Godfrey Ohuma: 100 euros Bbq [paid via Bank].
Kingsley Ihedinobi: 100 euros Bbq & 20 euros monthly dues.[ paid cash]
Patrick Ezebuiro: 100 euros Bbq & 10 euros monthly dues. [Paid cash]
Lawrence Onah: 100 euros Bbq [paid cash]
Ik Owoh: 100 euros Bbq & 10 euros monthly dues [ paid via Bank]
Joseph Imoke: 10 euros monthly dues [ paid cash]
Sekani Mbewe: 100 euros Bbq [ paid via Bank]
Shegun Okunomo: 100 euros Bbq [ paid via Bank]
The total sum of 340 euros was realised CASH in the day’s meeting and here is the run down. Bbq =300 euros. Monthly dues =40 euros.
Expenses: 50 euros [ host wife] 130 euros [ Geodfrey Ohuma for website] The balance sum of 160 euros was handed over to the Chairman Mr Anthony Amachukwu in the Absence of the acting treasurer Mr Godrich Alethor.
General: Mr Joseph Imoke told the house that the Chairman Mr Amachukwu and Mr Ohuma said he did injustice during the mother’s day celebration over the fotos he took.
In the Absence of further topics for discussion motion of adjournment of the day’s meeting was moved by Mr Vitus Ononiba and supported by Mr Anthony Obi and closing prayers was said by Mr Patrick Ezebuiro at 19:29 pm and Refreshments were served.
Vote of thanks was performed by the Vice Chairman Mr Ik Owoh who thanked the Madam of the house for saying we have the permission to enjoy ourselves and that the edikaonkon soup is unique from other edikaikons and thanked her for allowing us to enjoy her new home.
In her response she thanked us and said she is happy to be in this group and hoped this meeting is everyday and thanked us for coming, her husband Mr Joseph Imoke brought a bottle of Singleton to usher us into their newly renovated house and handed over the drink to the Chairman Mr Amachukwu and he prayed over the house with the drink.
